Children, Families, Young People & Young Adults

Parish Mission Support is here to serve Church of England Birmingham parishes as we explore together how to be church communities, where everyone feels they have a place and can fully participate and contribute.

We believe church comes alive when all generations come together to learn from one another, encouraging and challenging each other to live and be more like Christ.

In the Parish Mission Support team there is a range of skills and experience to serve anyone from our local parishes looking to grow or reflect on their mission and ministry with children, families, young people and young adults, both in a church setting and in the schools and communities where we live.

Children, Families & Schools

Our heart is for all generations to be able to come together and learn about what it is to be a disciple of Jesus.  But we also know that there are times when we need to have peer led and peer themed activities.

Contact us to talk in more details about: Sunday Clubs, seasonal activites, Messy Church and Children and Communion.

So, if you are looking to do a Prayer Space in your local school, or need some advice about your Toddler Group, or you want to create a new group but are not sure where to start, then we can help. Get in touch with Emma below.

Youth & Young Adults

Youth Work is an essential part of any growing church community and we have particular skills in helping you to dream about the piece of Youth Work you would like to set up.  Then we can help you to take the steps to get it off the ground, either by helping you write a funding bid or working out how to build a team.

We would love to chat to you about growing the Youth Work you have going already, and how you can connect with more young people across your parish, train and support leaders, or connect more closely with the young people in your local secondary school.

Emma has also begun conversations around how we listen to the young adults in our churches and communities and would love to hear your wisdom and stories around this topic.  Please do email Emma if you would like to know more.

In the meantime, please get in touch if you are in need of ideas and resources to support the Youth and Young Adults work that you are doing.
