Pippa Glover has been appointed as Church of England Birmingham’s new Director of Finance.
Pippa has over 20 years’ experience in charity finance and governance, and will join us from the University of Warwick, where she is Deputy Finance Director. Pippa is also a Council member and Board Chair at the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) and PCC vice-chair in her local parish church.
Andy Winmill, Diocesan Secretary, said: “After a competitive recruitment process, I am really looking forward to welcoming Pippa as our new Director of Finance. She brings a wealth of relevant experience in both finance and governance, and through serving on a PCC. She will be an excellent addition to the team.”
Pippa said: “I am delighted to be joining the Church of England Birmingham at such an exciting time. I am looking forward to meeting and working with staff, church leaders and volunteers across the Diocese.”
Pippa will be responsible for all financial strategy, planning and management, charity governance, and asset management.
She will also advise on matters including income generation, Common Fund, and financial support and training for parishes.

Pippa will start the role in September, following the retirement this summer of Karen Preece, after 6 years of dedicated service.
