'Loving God, now that an election has been called, hear my prayers for our country and the campaign ahead. I pray for those who are standing for election, for their safety, and for their willingness to listen and to speak. I pray for truthfulness and kindness to prevail as the issues are debated. Almighty Father, Give us grace and strength this day to build up your Church in love for the world, in the making of disciples and to equip the saints for the work on ministry. Open our eyes to a fresh vision of your kingdom. Give us wisdom for the common task. Draw us and all your Church deeper into Christ, our foundation and cornerstone, that we may work together as one body, in the power of the Spirit and for the sake of your glory.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude and hope, lifting up all who are being ordained at this time, and in particular those who are LGBT+. Grant all ordinands your peace, strength, and unwavering love as they step into their calling. May Your Holy Spirit guide them in their ministry, offering compassion and wisdom. Help them to be beacons of Your inclusive love, breaking down barriers and fostering understanding. Surround them with supportive communities that affirm their worth and gifts. Protect them from prejudice and fear, and embolden them to serve with courage and authenticity. May their service reflect Your boundless grace and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name we pray.

God of Creation, we give thanks for the thousands of people worldwide taking part in 'Plastic Free July', reducing their own reliance on single-use plastic and encouraging others to understand the damage plastics are doing to creation and our global neighbours. Lord, during National Marine Week, we pray for organisations and charities who work to restore our oceans and protect marine life. Lord, help us to be good stewards of the seas you created and all the living creatures they support.
