Regular giving is the best way to financially plan for your parish's future.
The Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) is a direct-debit system developed to provide a simple, safe and effective donation management system to support parishes fund their mission and ministry. It reduces the burden of work on parish volunteers and provides a professional service to our givers.
Donations made through this scheme use a Direct Debit made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Each donation is restricted to a parish church chosen by the giver and cannot be used elsewhere. The donation will be passed back to the individual parish by 10th of the month. Any eligible Gift Aid will be sent separately, once it has been received from HMRC. Another unique feature of the scheme is the option for the giver to commit in principle to increase their gift annually in line with inflation.
If this scheme becomes the principal funding method for your Church, you will have inflation-proofed your giving, maximized your cash flow and minimised your administration. This will free up your parish to focus on other important priorities.
Key Benefits:
- Better Cash flow and ability to budget
- Reduced Workload with automatic Gift Aid claim and less banking
- Anoymous giving
- Opt-In yearly increase
- Scheme is free of charge and your parish recieves 100% of the donation
How it works:
*New* One off Giving
PGS now provides givers the option to make one off gifts via debit/credit card, Apple and Google Pay through PGS online. Options for regular and one off giving will be available when givers navigate to your landing page via your link or QR code. As with regular giving, there is an option to Gift Aid and opt in for further contact from your church.
Your church will receive all one off gifts in a single monthly payment—subject to 1.5% transaction fee which will be deducted before remittance. Gift Aid will be claimed on your behalf as with regular giving. This feature is a great entry point into regular giving.
