  • Guidance and support on the management, maintenance and development of all church buildings, churchyards and faculty permissions 
  • Assistance and support to churches in developing action plans working towards net zero carbon

  • Assistance and support in developing and implementing projects to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

  • Carry out property inspections and oversee the management of Quinquennial Inspection functions including: the identification of building defects and recommended remedial solutions
     
  • Oversee the management of vacant properties, ensuring that clergy houses are let to maximise income during an interregnum and that the annual budget is delivered
     
  • Oversee ingoing and outgoing meetings with clergy and Archdeacons. Lead and manage clergy housing improvement projects as required
     
  • Assist with implementing various programmes of planned, cyclical and legislative maintenance for clergy housing based upon the five-yearly inspection quinquennial inspection reports
  • Organise Church property reactive repairs and maintenance on behalf of PCCs, which will involve managing a wide range of suppliers and building contractors

  • Assist with implementing various programmes of planned, cyclical and legislative maintenance for churches based upon their five-yearly inspection report

  • Assist condition surveys of ancillary building and relevant statutory compliance responsibilities for all operational buildings
