On 2 March 2024, CofE Birmingham welcomed The Rt. Reverend Dr Michael Volland as the 10th Bishop of Birmingham, at his Service of Installation held in St Philips, Birmingham Cathedral. Details and highlights of the service can be read on  Birmingham Cathedral's website, here.

On the occasion of his installation, Bishop Michael said, "God cares deeply about these wonderful places and communities, and I look forward to playing my part in God's hopeful future for the people of the city and region."
