We are Church of England Birmingham. A diverse and growing mix of People & Places focused on Growing Churches at the Heart of Every Community, seeking to share the love of Christ with all.

On 31 August 2023, CofE Birmingham welcomed The Rt. Reverend Dr Michael Volland, formally Principal of Ridley Hall, Cambridge, as the 10th Bishop of Birmingham, in succession to The Right Reverend David Urquhart, following his retirement from the office of CofE Birmingham’s Diocesan Bishop in October 2022.

The Rt. Revd. Anne Hollinghurst, Bishop of Aston, Suffragan Bishop CofE Birmingham, continues to serve as commissary bishop or ‘Acting Bishop of Birmingham’,  as authorised by the Archbishop of Canterbury, until Bishop Michael's Installation in March, at a service taking place in Birmingham Cathedral.
