Pastoral Principles and LLF

Pastoral Principles

As communities of Christians, we are held together in the love of Christ. Our many differences are gifts that can build us up in trust and mutual affection, or they can mar the image of Christ that we are called to reflect through our life together. These Pastoral Principles cards and 5-session course are for you to use in your church community to examine afresh your life together.

Living in Love and Faith

The purpose of the Living in Love and Faith (LLF) initiative is to inspire people to think more deeply about what it means to be human and to live in love and faith with one another.

A new LLF Learning Hub has been developed with resources which tackle the tough questions and the divisions among Christians about what it means to be holy in a society in which understandings and practices of gender, sexuality and marriage continue to change.

Matters of identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage are deeply personal, and may be the cause of both deep joy and pain. That’s why it is important for all of us to pay close attention to how we speak and behave towards one another as we learn together.

Learning can only happen when everyone commits to creating a space where everyone feels safe enough to be as open and honest about themselves as they wish to be without fearing condemnation, hurt or rejection. Learning together well is about being kind and building trust.

You can visit the LLF Learning Hub and register on the Hub for access to the LLF course, films, podcasts, principles and resources.

You can also head to the Pathways Learning Platform for an introduction to Living in Love and Faith for those in CofEB.
