Priest in Charge - Kingstanding, St Luke

The Bishop of Birmingham wishes to appoint a Priest in Charge of St Luke, Kingstanding St Luke’s is a warm and welcoming parish Church in the outer estate of Kingstanding in the North of Birmingham. The Bishop of Birmingham is seeking a prayerful priest who will accompany this ‘modern catholic’ parish on a journey of growth and deepening of discipleship.   The parish is under the extended episcopal oversight of the Bishop of Oswestry.  The parish is a vibrant hub of social and spiritual activity and is ambitious to grow with an organised and inspiring priest to help them become a beacon of faith, hope and love for the community they are called to serve.

St Chad’s is a welcoming and inclusive parish and LEP (Anglican- Methodist) in the Erdington suburb of Birmingham (about 4 miles north of the city centre). The Bishop of Birmingham is seeking a faith filled, prayerful and energetic minister to be our next priest to be our next 0.5 priest in charge. We long to grow spiritually, numerically and also increase our engagement with the local community and especially with young people, schools and young families. We are a committed part of the newly established Erdington oversight area and have also begun an exciting mission shaped redevelopment project with our buildings.

Giving and Generosity Support Officer

Church of England Birmingham (CofEB) is on a journey of growing churches at the heart of every community. Through this we are seeing growth in many exciting ways. Financially we are at a challenging point. We have recently recruited a new Head of Generosity, who is also Bishops Advisor for Common Fund, to lead on this work and we are now looking to recruit the team to work with them. Together this team will work with all of our parishes to roll out our financial approach, through in person meetings, and the support that is on offer as part of this.
