Children, Youth and Families Mission Enabler St Barnabas Church, Erdington

The overall purpose of the post is:
• To build on this existing ministry so that we can continue to enable children, families and young people to encounter the love of God in the gospel of Jesus Christ and enable them to share that love with others.
• To oversee and expand our provision that includes 0 to 18 year olds and their families.
• In collaboration with volunteers, ministry team and parents, develop a coherent vision across all our children, families and youth work that builds on our existing vision.
• To work across the wider oversight area with the support of our Deanery Children and Families Mission Enabler to develop youth work.
• To look at creative ways to expand our existing team of volunteers to include people from a diverse range of backgrounds that reflects our community.
• To promote and uphold our strong commitment to safeguarding.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the job holder to be a practising Christian.
